Project Manager - Digitalization and the Common Good

Dr. Joachim Rother

Dr. Joachim Rother works as a project manager in the project “Digitalization and the Common Good” and leads the project “Gaming4Democracy” at the Bertelsmann Stiftung, which explores the social and educational potential of gaming communities. Previously, he was responsible for the foundation’s activities in Israel and subsequently worked on the “Upgrade Democracy” project, focusing on disinformation in the digital sphere. Before joining the Bertelsmann Stiftung, he served for two years as deputy director of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation’s international office in Jerusalem.

Joachim Rother earned his doctorate (Dr. phil.) in medieval history from Otto Friedrich University in Bamberg and is an alumnus of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation’s doctoral fellowship program.
