Dr. Jens Preußner

Jens Preußner is an expert in artificial intelligence (AI) for the common good and a project manager in the project "Digitalization and the Common Good" at the Bertelsmann Stiftung. In his work, he promotes the self-determined use of AI infrastructure, data, open models, interfaces, and AI knowledge in public administration, welfare, and the social sector.

With more than eight years of experience in the natural sciences and scientific software development, and four years of experience managing teams and projects in the social sector, he bridges the gap between in-depth technical expertise and impact-oriented strategy in civil society on a daily basis. Before joining the Bertelsmann Stiftung, Jens led the Data Science Hub project at the DRK e.V. and coordinated the establishment of the BMUKN’s ECO AI Lab.
